Succession - Co-Producer / 2nd Unit Director (2018-2023)

DP-turned-Director Andrij Parekh discusses challenges of the S04 Election episode in Vanity Fair.

EP/Director Mark Mylod talks about the final Logan video with Vulture (above), as well as on the Succesion and Indiewire Toolkit podcasts.

Kat was hired during Succession Season 01 to cover content for the on-set playback elements - i.e. news coverage from ATN and its rival networks, memes, texts, websites, and the odd Waystar corporate or harassment policy video.

As show runner Jesse Armstrong’s hunger for Waystar world building grew over the next three seasons, so too did her role. Working with the writers, directors, art department, production, editorial, the on-set playback team, and a small and terrifically talented design team, she wrangled press conferences, congressional hearings, rocket explosions, whistleblower interviews, shareholder meetings, Roman’s dubious texting habits, karaoke videos, a disastrous blockbuster about a somnambulist robot, a bonanza of an election night at the new ATN HQ, and a surprisingly tender rendition of ‘Green Grow the Rashes, O’.

During S04, she expanded beyond  co-producer duties to direct 2nd Unit for five of the ten episodes, which included drones in LA, convoys in Norway, news anchors spouting fake-fake-news, an smug-as-hell Mark Ravenhead, and a defiantly victorious Jeryd Mencken.
